Mark and Sherri have been married for 15 years. They have 4 children, nathan, Collin, Joshua and Marissa. They moved to the Carolinas in 1995 when Mark was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the NFL expansion draft. Mark then played 3 years with the Panthers before finishing out his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks. Mark's NFL career spanned 12 years and 7 different teams.

While playing for the San Diego Chargers in 1992, Mark and his wife Sherri accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior at a Pro Athlete Outreach Conference. From that day forward the Lord has worked in their hearts to reach out to others with the love of Christ. Upon Mark's retirement from the NFL, they purchased 10 acres of land in York, SC. That 10 acres is now the location of The Cornerstone Ranch Missions.

As God has continued to lead them down this unique ministry path, they have invested themselves in developing the ranch facilities and programs necessary to reach out to those needing to know and grow in Jesus. Mark's NFL career has placed a strong desire to minister to men as they struggle with their identity as men and as followers of Jesus Christ. As they have continued to seek God's will in this ministry, they have expanded their ministry to a wide variety of people including children, youth and families.

Mark is a graduate of Illinois State University, where he studied comprehensive materials technology and was a member of the football program. During his NFL career, Mark continued to develop his computer and design skills starting his own design agency in 1996. Mark now utilizes his design talents to serve the Lord here at the ranch and through his ministry minded media company, Digital Lighthouse Media, Inc. www.DigitalLighthouseMedia.com.
